QA Engineer

Job description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Qualifications :

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaboration with technical teams and product stakeholders to ensure design and implementation is aligned with business requirements;
• Use design documents to identify required test plan, test data, and then develop and execute test plans and test cases;
• Recommend and develop enterprise scale processes for the following: ○ test case/plan creation ○ test automation ○ bug tracking and reporting
• Design, implement, and execute automated testing;
• Support QA and testing processes and be accountable for your work and results;
• Perform and report on the following testing processes: ○ functional ○ black box ○ white box ○ regression ○ performance ○ load
• Scrub and debug incoming issues and verify resolved defects;

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline;
• 2+ years’ experience in a software testing/verification role;
• Ability to write automation tests in Java, JS or Groovy.
• Skilled in integration approaches and strategies and has done work involving web services (XML, SOAP, WSDL), messaging;
• Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.

Additional Assets:

• Experience with system integrations, finance systems, human capital management systems or enterprise performance management systems.
• Experience with heavy workload enterprise systems is a plus.
• Experience with Java technologies.
Experience in performance testing (Apache JMeter).
Experience with relational databases and SQL;
• Proficient with Agile Scrum development methodology
