Job description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

Requirement Description

QA Engineer is primarily responsible for testing an area of the product line, with the following specific responsibilities :

· Work with team of Developers and other QA Engineers to functionally test products using automated and/or manual test approaches

· Automate the tests within short span of time and ability to provide an Stable Automated Test

· Ability to understand the product, new release features and come up with exhaustive list of tests.

· Analyze software defects to ascertain source and nature of defects.

· Thoroughly verify development fixes at the system level.

· Provide complete test coverage of assigned areas.

· Communicate effectively with other members of the QA team, the development team, Product Management and managers.

· Become an expert in the product/feature areas tested and use that expertise to contribute throughout the cycle

· Develop, execute and maintain automated feature tests.

· Attitude to break the Product is a Plus

· Innovative thinker to resolve the ops issues and come up with new ideas to do more automation and utilize the automation in the scrum kind of projects

QA Team comprises of Highly Qualified Talented team having both Functional and Automation Experts(Its a very good opportunity to learn) involved in

· Creation of the Functional Test cases and Test Plans

· Testing of WebServices

· Automation using OATS(Oracle Application Test Suite)

· Test execution across the releases.

· Validation of bug fixes,Enhancements,patch bundle that goes out to customers every month

Mandatory Skills Looking out for

· Preferred 2-3 years of experience in QA and/or software testing.

· Extensive Automation Testing Experience – Preferable Tool OATS

· Extensive Test Management Experience – ALM

· Working Experience in Scrum Model is a preferable

· Bachelors degree in computer science, or related field.

· A highly organized individual who works well under pressure to complete tasks to meet tight deadlines.

· Experience in programming, especially for software test automation

· Experience in Java

· Experience in Testing WebServices

· Experience in Testing BI reports,BIP is highly preferred

· OS experience in Linux and Windows

· Knowledge of QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies. Plus if candidate is experienced with Agile.

· Excellent communication - both verbal and written.
