Job description

Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.

Coordinate and evaluate development contributions from other courseware development team members. Develop certification questions for use in the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams. Solicit & incorporate feedback from reviews and training events. Deliver training at train-the-trainer and pilot events.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science or Instructional Design. Two years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer). Five years technical or professional experience using Oracle products or related software. Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience. Knowledge of XML, Java, and J2EE technologies. Experience with Oracle9i Database administration. Knowledge of Oracle9i Application server.

Oracle+NetSuite is searching for an experienced Curriculum Developer to support our Digital Learning Team in the design and development of online learning content for Oracle+NetSuite's industry-leading software. By offering blended instructor-led training (ILT), self-study, and e-learning curricula, Oracle+NetSuite Education Services is transforming how our customers, partners, and employees are educated to best understand, configure, and use Oracle+NetSuite products.

The Curriculum Developer:

·  plays a critical role in achieving this objective by working with the larger Digital Learning group, in the design and development of high-quality training solutions. This position reports to the Manager, Digital Learning, and will collaboratively design and develop training offerings that allow for the successful configuration and use of NetSuite's software based on recommended best practices.
·  is an instructional design professional with an emphasis on eLearning design and development. They are passionate about creating effective and engaging training online learning solutions.
·  plans, designs, and develops engaging and highly effective e-learning training for end users, using the most efficient and effective adult learning methodologies. They are responsible for updating existing content based on business need, NetSuite product changes/updates, and end-user feedback. The courses developed are for a variety of audiences which include the End User and , Administrator.

Responsibilities:

·  Design and develop high-quality, interactive e-learning courses that combine multiple components for a positive user experience: presentations, demonstrations, simulations, activities, quizzes, job aids, and other materials as needed.
·  Build e-learning content that can be published (SCORM 1.2) and tracked within the LMS.
·  Team with subject matter experts to gather requirements and incorporate expertise and best practices into curricula and learning objectives.
·  Provide regular project milestone status updates.
·  Develop and maintain positive relationships with business owners, SMEs, and other stakeholders.
·  Manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

·  Outstanding English-language verbal and written communication skills
·  Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively, clearly and concisely.
·  3+ years' experience designing and developing self-paced and blended e-learning solutions
·  Proven experience with curriculum design principles and practices including: structured writing techniques; task analysis; interactive training; development of storyboards, scripts, and course content; and evaluation methods.
·  Experience using rapid development e-learning authoring and graphic design tools e.g. Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, SnagIt, Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop with emphasis on building application simulations
·  Proficient skills using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
·  Experience creating, editing, synchronizing, and recording audio and video for e-learning courses.
·  Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
·  Ability to establish excellent relationships with the extended training team as well as with product management, development, support and other organizations.
·  Possess a flexible attitude and be an innovative and creative thinker.
·  Experience with developing end-user training for ERP and CRM software systems preferred
·  Bachelor's Degree in education, instructional design, information systems, technology, or equivalent preferred.
