Job description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Under the direction of his team leader, the software developer is involved in the development of Oracle Human Resources Management software applications. These applications are world class and their development is part of a well-established process. In collaboration with other R&D groups, the developer is involved in the design, development, maintenance and quality assurance of the applications. In addition, upon request, he performs other related duties as may fall within the job.

Key responsibilities

·  Participating in the design of applications
·  Programing identified solutions while respecting the functional and organic specifications and in compliance with standards established
·  Ensuring the quality of the product code (unit testing, automated testing, documentation, participation in quality assurance)

Requirements

·  Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
·  Work Experience: 2-6 years of experience

Skills

·  Good knowledge of object-oriented concepts and design patterns
·  Good knowledge of the Java programing language
·  Good knowledge of web technologies (servlets, jsp , html , javascript, xml , web services, etc.)
·  Knowledge of SQL (Oracle)
·  Knowledge of UML
·  Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
·  Great interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team with various groups
·  Ability to establish requirements and develop solutions for current and future systems
·  Synthesis and analysis capacities
·  Ability to present ideas concisely, both orally and in writing
·  Self- motivated, organized and able to prioritize the requests received
·  Ability to design, develop and document software solutions
·  Knowledge of Java Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework) is an asset
