In summary, the Technical Service Engineer's responsibility is to provide proper and quick technical service and support on site for Alcon's various high technology Surgical equipments within the assigned territory and time frame, for the highest satisfaction of our customers. By doing so, this position is a key contributior for Alcon's high level of reputation.

In Detail:
Achieve or exceed Technical Service KPI targets within own territory.

- Handle the service calls independently, with superior customer satisfaction in focus, for all assigned Alcon products. Install and maintain equipment as required.
Maintain high level of communication with our customers, the sales force and other funtions as well within the organization.
Asses the training needs of our customers when user issues arise. Upon installation train customers on operational aspects of the product and/or refer training within appropriate Alcon representative.

- Strategically promote Alcon Technical Services to customers. Make sure customer problems are rapidly addressed. Maintain high quality standard by working according Alcon STP standards.
Act as hotline number, discuss problems with coordinator regularly or when necessary. Ongoing process of new information gathering and submission (Service Flash, Beacon)
Identifiy problems, weights options, assesses potential outcomes and suggests, implement clear solution (increase/reduction, analysis of the reasons).

- Maintain proper documentation and administration by Quality Manual including reporting, expense management, asset management, etc, as required.agement, asset management, etc. as required. Respect of deadlines and accuracy in the general administrative duties and Alcon’s assets.

- Focus on self development: keep being extremely competent on the knowledge of Alcon’s Surgical equipment products. Understand our competitor’s products and clearly differentiate our advantages based on the practitioner’s needs and motivators.

- Collect and transfer all available information and documentation for any Product Complaint (Adverse Events and Medical Device Malfunctions) and Event of Special Interest associated with Alcon Product(s) upon learning of any such occurrences to LVR. Participation in follow-up activities and vigilance training.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

Education: Technical College degree, major in Bio-medical, Medical Engineering, Medical Technology

Languages: Fluent in Hungarian and English in writing and speaking

Experience: 2 years in similar position in technical service and / or sales position

Experience in medical instrument organization is advantage.
