• Care, maintenance and expand the customer base in the optical retail channel. Ensure competent, professional and timely product and customer support in the assigned sales regions of SH/AI/AR/SG/TG/GL/GR/TI
• Demonstration, training and sales of consumables primarily being contact lenses and lens care product
• Achieving the set sales targets at the beginning of the year in their sales region, according the incentive plan. Implementation of specific marketing activities, competitive analysis and product launches, such as e.g. workshops, round tables, exhibitions etc.
• Active and independent preparation of individual sales activities and goals per customer within the target group with the help of Sales Manager and/or other function heads
• Actively inform the Sales Manager of sales and marketing activities undertaken by either our customers and/or our competitors
• Independent planning of visits according to a given customer segmentation and visit frequency in accordance with the Alcon EIE (Excellence in Execution) regulations
• Responsible for the timeliness and maintain all customer data and customer visits, including their mutations in Alcon CRM system. Punctual submission of special, visiting and expense reports
• Assistance in setting up of key opinion leaders
• Together with the customer service and the finance department responsible for the control of orders, bookings of consignment stock movements and settlements with customers
• Proper preparation of samples, demo, quotations and contract inquiries, in consultation with the supervisor
• Participation in national and international conferences to maintain customer relationships
• Participation in further education at internal sales meetings and training courses. Regular and independent training. Communicate the training needs to the supervisor

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• Minimum of 3 years sales force experience in medical devices and/or optical retail environment preferred. Consultant experiences for high end medical consumable or investment goods preferred
• Further education as an Optician/Optometrist and/or in Business Administration
• Fluent in German & Italian (both written & oral), good level of English
• Relationship oriented and positive personality, initiative, dynamic and autonomous
• Focused and strategic mindset. Willingness to over achieve targets.
• Open to work in a matrix organization as a supporting team member
