Key Account Manager – Neuroscience

Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Czech Republic, is currently looking for an experienced professional to join our Sales team in a Neuroscience therapeutic area.

In neuroscience we have a strong 60-year history. We currently offer patients and physicians a large drug portfolio encompassing multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain contacts with key customers – centres – through individual visits, sales meetings, promotional lectures and participation in congresses and seminars.
• Responsibility for achieving territory sales budget.
• Develop territory business plan and implement marketing and sales strategies for particular centres.
• Meet visit targets (both quantity and quality) according to sales objectives.
• Conduct business meetings with key customers and customers from the key sector.
• Evaluate customer needs; propose promotional actions to increase market share and customer service.
• Provide key and detailed information to target audiences according to territory plans and cycle message instructions from Business Unit management.
• Analyse and maintain updated knowledge of competitive information (e.g. market tactics, activities, strengths and weaknesses).
• Together with Sales, Marketing Managers and Hospital Account Managers regularly discuss results with a company strategy.
• Submit regularly activity reports as required by Business Unit management
• Keep and update customer records in Novartis CRM.
• Maintain good product knowledge and selling skills.
• Optimise cost/benefit aspects in daily activities.
• Compliance with all internal processes, regulations and procedures.
• Execute all other tasks or projects assigned by the line manager.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• University degree, preferably in Medicine, Pharmacy or Nature Sciences
• Min. 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales and/or product experience
• Experience in centralized medicine is a great advantage
• Fluent Czech both spoken and written is a must; Intermediate English preferred
• Ability to build and maintain close relationship with key opinion leaders
• Gain and develop in depth product and therapy knowledge
• Very good teamwork, communication and customer focus skills
• Action oriented with strong focus on results
