Position Title
Finance Clerk - Temporary
Mission and Main Objectives
· From April 2018 Nissan will be selling the global battery business, including the plant based at its Sunderland site.
· The new business, AESC UK, will be establishing its own Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general administrative support function within the Finance team.
· The new business will have annual turnover of circa £250m pa
· The role is to carry out the transaction processing for AP and AR as well as support the establishment of the new processes and systems that will be in place from day 1 of the new business.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
· Processing of Accounts Payable invoices, including invoice matching process and dealing with supplier queries
· Generating supplier payment runs
· Carry out the bank reconciliation
· Match cash received against Sales Invoices, and resolve any customer queries
· Processing of employee expense claims
· Support the monthly accounting close process including balance sheet reconciliation
· Provide flexible administration resource to support the Finance function

Background & Experience
· Experience of using SAP to process purchase invoices, sales invoice, generate payment runs and perform bank reconciliations is essential
· Confident communicator within Finance team and across other functions
· Flexible approach, with a helpful, can-do attitude
· Committed to achieve tight deadlines
· Well organised and able to prioritise workload
· Excellent PC skills (SAP, Excel)
Specific Technical Skills
Contract will be initially for 1 month, with strong possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate once the business sale has completed (target April '18)
