Position Title

Communication Trainee

Mission and Main Objectives

Nissan Europe Information Systems Communication team oversees all IS content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive engagement, strategy, and business objectives.

Communication trainee will actively support the team in its mission to inform, educate and engage employees across the department, in the internal communication (to the business) and event management. He / She is familiar with all things related to the content and channel optimization as well as willing and able to coordinate between various departments and regions.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Support the IS Communication team to:

·  Implement the communication strategy and plans,
·  Optimise communication channels
·  Implement the IS editorial guidelines to ensure alignment and consistency across the IS function, in terms of style, quality and tone of voice of message
·  Optimise the user experience for all existing IS channels, as well as build and implement new content channels (Online, application, email, BICs, webchats etc).
·  Develop a functional content calendar
·  Assist IS colleagues with writing style, editorial, content strategy
·  Drive new IS activations and events to increase employee engagement
·  Proofread, edit and check the IS content
·  Develop and distribute original editorial content, videos, posters, infographics, newsletters, etc...;
·  Publish content including articles, photos and videos on IS internal and external channels
·  Ensure the governance of the department's workspace on the digital SharePoint platform.

Background & Experience

·  In the last year of Business or Communication school – Master's degree or equivalent. Background in Communications or Journalism is preferred
·  Fluent in English
·  Strong writing and editing skills is essential
·  Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
·  Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
·  Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
·  Must be ready to work in a fast-paced, challenging, international environment
·  Proactive and enthusiastic approach; ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business;
·  Strong team-player required, with the ability to also be effective independently
·  Knowledge of SharePoint technology and experience with graphic editor tools (Photoshop, InDesign…) would be a plus
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
·  Familiarity in the use of current day web based communications or Social media tools
