Job description

Responsibilities :

The Customer Operations Development Specialist (CODS) is responsible for process knowledge and capability building to enable sustainable and profitable growth for Nike Europe. In partnership with CODMs and stakeholders across the Nike matrix, this role is accountable for developing and implementing sustainable, efficient, compliant and customer-focused operations solutions and processes to enable success at retail.

Process ownership

· Understand Nike's end to end processes from ‘go to market' and sell-in/order entry to order fulfillment to enable keeping the market clean
· Be the subject matter expert for a subset of customer operations processes with the initial focus on Value Added Services (VAS) initiatives, own process documentation and performance metrics
· Provide process expertise as part of (cross-functional) capability building initiatives, creation of training material or process governance / compliance discussions
· Support the development of a sustainable operating and communication model for process and policy adjustments.
Capability building

· Develop thorough understanding of Nike's operational and business issues in your area of responsibility
· Drive business process analysis and define opportunities for improvement
· Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to drive internal process excellence
· Ensure a high quality of project and transition management practices in line with Nike standard methodologies (including Lean)
· Apply transition management principles, tools and methodologies to ensure capabilities are adopted and supported through transition to the business
· Actively engage in COPS process improvement portfolio including
Relationship Management / Communication

· Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders across the Nike Matrix and with neighboring functions (Center of Excellen, Catergory Operations, Sales, Demand Planning, Merchandising, Nike Tech)
· Maintain close relationships and drive pro-active collaboration with the customer operations process support team
· Participate in / Lead cross-functional internal project teams to deliver identified objectives and ensure process improvements / capabilities are transitioned to the business
· Optimize communication efforts focusing on essential information and right audience and prepare / communicate relevant summaries of information.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

·  2-3 years of relevant experience, in Operations/Supply Chain/Project Management/Process Improvement with progressive responsibility. Logistics/operations experience with leading or participation in strategic projects considered a plus
·  Experience in a multinational environment with the ability to effectively communicate and influence various levels within a matrix structure
·  A proven track record of delivering results (time, quality, budget)
·  Solid written and verbal communication skills; effectively communicates with all levels of the organization. Communicate issues in a timely manner
·  Consumer / customer oriented with good understanding of sports retail business
·  Solid understanding of information systems and how technology can be applied to gain efficiencies
·  Computer skills: MS Word, Windows, Excel, Power Point
