Purpose

Through close coordination with HV different department, to design the HV systems in its entirety and to plan its implementation through all the different aspects : costs, technique, quality, time.

Areas of responsibility

During prequalification stage, write technical recommendations and specifications in order to help the end-user to finalize its requirements.

During tender stage, work closely with the Tender Managers (TMs) :

· Read and understand customer’s Request for Quotation and specifications
· Identify key issues in the specifications and detail them with every stakeholder (HV cable design team, HV accessory team)
· If required, issue Request for Quotation (RfQ) towards potential civil works subcontractors and/or manufacturers (steelworks, specific products) through a file including specifications, BoQ, Matrix of Responsibilities…
· Study and compare the different quotations and technical files issued by the subcontractors.
· Negotiate with contractors / manufacturers in order to get best technical and financial offer
· Assess the risks associated to the CW and to the installation of the HV system and propose mitigation measures.
· Find an innovative cost-effective solution.
· Quote the solution to be implemented thanks to the tools used in LHVBL.
· Provide the TM with all the necessary inputs in order to build the final offer :
· Method statements
· Risk assessment
· Preliminary schedule
· BoQ for the works to be performed
· All other required documents.
· Work closely with the PM during the implementation phase after contract award.

Look for innovative and competitive solutions in the HV installation domain.

Work upfront in order to identify the new ways of installation, the potential partners and the new cost-effective solutions.

Some short trips abroad may be required.

Required skills and qualifications

· High Engineering School with technical orientation such as INPG , A&M, ENSI
· Knowledge of some drawing softwares such Autocad, Solidworks
· Knowledge of Civil Works and of Strength of materials
· Agile with IT Tools (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project)
· Fluent in English
