Engineering Technician (6 month contract)

Circa £42k pro rated plus excellent wider benefits

We are looking for talented, Engineering Technicians to help in producing some of the nation's favourite confectionery.

Nestlé York Factory is the home of Kit Kat and produces a range of Confectionery products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Kit Kat, Aero, Yorkie and Milky Bar.

What you can expect?
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for technical performance, proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities will include:
· Cover Breakdowns and participate in line improvements across the manufacturing facility.
· Complete root cause analysis to reduce stoppages.
· Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice standards in respect of plant, tools and environment.
· Support and challenge your colleagues to maintain all company standards.
· Ensure compliance with the Nestlé quality policy particularly engineering change management and line release.

The successful candidates will be thorough, professional and care about the safety of themselves and others.

You will need to demonstrate you care about delivering high quality products at all times and have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles. You will be able to demonstrate ownership, high levels of results focus and strong communication skills.

We are looking for people who enjoy solving problems and exploring how things work, whilst continually thinking of new ideas to improve safety, quality and performance to meet consumer needs. The successful candidate will have a minimum qualification of an ONC in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
