Job description

Main Purpose of the Role
To adapt category strategies to country needs and drive/manage them across channels/customers and direct implementation of category/brand plans to achieve category Real Internal Grow in the country.

Main Responsibilities
·  Responsible to ensure that category volume/value and Real Internal Growth are achieved by country within category allocated budgets.
·  Translate Market category and brand objectives into country/channel category objectives in coordination with the sales teams.
·  Implement and maintain the core range distribution and merchandizing guidelines by channel. Analyze and recommend action plans, when needed, on numeric distribution, core range, planograms.
·  Ensure efficient implementation and evaluation of Point of Sales Material at point of purchase in alignment with the sales team (quantities and timelines).
·  Champion regional activities and country specific promotional process per category (defining objectives, briefing, coordinating the implementation, and evaluating all promotions).
·  Provide recommendations and corrective actions during Monthly Business Planning Cycle meetings.
·  Responsible to conduct market visits in the country across all channels focusing on Point of Purchase drivers, shelf life, and competitor activities. Based on shopper observation, recommend actionable in store solutions within the trade channels.
·  Lead the Monthly Sales Review process at country level and participate in the Monthly Forecast Review and Monthly Gap Review.
·  Ensure effective new product launches and/or line extensions on a country level through the implementation plan and organizing category roadshows/ presentations for the sales teams.
·  Generate insights to the Point of Purchase Drivers based on thorough understanding and analysis of the 8 C's of successful demand generation.
·  Provide Channel Category trends to support the development of Channel strategies.
·  Develop a local Commercial Plan (Objective, Strategies, Tactics, and Activities) for the country from a category and channel perspective.
·  Continuously provide insights on channel, category, and shopper trends.
·  Channel Category Sales Development Manager is jointly responsible (with Channel Managers/ Key Account Manager's) for defining and optimizing Total Trade Spend strategy and allocation, annual budgets and investment at an OPC level.
·  Channel Category Sales Development Manager is required to track the Total Trade Spend on monthly basis by activity to ensure optimal spending.
·  Channel Category Sales Development Manager is jointly responsible (with the Brand Manager) for defining and optimizing Delegated Product Fixed Market Expense strategy and allocation, annual budgets and investment, accountable for tracking and maintaining spending.

Requirements to Apply:
·  Bachelor Degree in a Business related field.
·  Excellent Communication Skills in Arabic and English.
·  2 to 3+ years commercial experience (sales & marketing) in FMCG industry is a must.
