Job Description

Analyst for Americas Corporate Portfolio Management.  Responsibility includes the management of the assets following closing, preparation of annual reviews, renewals, amendments, ratings, waivers and watch list forms (the latter in conjunction with DRAS as appropriate), the performance of specific quarterly portfolio reviews and portfolio optimization. Under the DPM organization the position will report to the Head of Corporate Asset Management, DPM Americas

Analysis of Corporate counterparties. Main duties include:

·  Fully engaged in the activities of Corporate Asset Management and its client portfolio with a view to generally support (together with OSD) the commercial franchise and revenue for the bank while minimizing risks,
·  Prepare annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, ratings, watchlist papers for assigned transactions,
·  Calculate and propose ratings and returns before submission to Credit Risk for validation,
·  Anticipate risk evolution for transactions and identify and escalate risk deteriorations in a timely manner,
·  Prepare quarterly portfolio reviews (or, more frequently, in stress  environment),
·  Anticipate risk evolution across the portfolio, discuss portfolio allocation  and risk mitigation DPM management and team,
·  Identify risks  and/or inefficiencies in organization, processes and procedures and propose remedies and improvements to senior management,
·  Work collectively with other departments in Natixis to ensure proactive portfolio management and communication of critical information.

New Business

·  Review, propose, recommend and sign-off on new transactions and ratings that are submitted for business and credit approval, providing the appropriate support to the Sr Bankers and DPM Group.
·  After deal is closed and as soon as all documentation is available, organize the execution and transfer of the transaction(s), with the transaction deal teams involved according to the deal transfer process.
·  Ensure the appropriate entering of the transactions and ongoing reporting into reference systems
·  Support exposure de-risking/reduction objectives set by management.

Asset Management/ Optimization


·  Prepare and present quarterly portfolio updates with the Head of Corporate Asset Management of DPM Americas to the head of GPM Americas, as well as the Head of LatAm and the Head of Coverage (based on the TWO tool and or other extracts). This report should be dynamic and include ratings migration, portfolio performance metrics, as well as impact on Liquidity, RWA, Expected Loss, lessons learned on past transactions and benchmarking with rating agencies and other external data providers with the view to anticipate portfolio risk and profitability.
·  Instruct appropriate corrections to Middle Office when errors are detected and report any significant data quality deviation to management.
·  Prepare, coordinate and review Annual Reviews and Renewals of Corporate Coverage booked transactions.
·  Ensure all requests are KYC and KYB from Centralized On-boarding Team are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
·  Prepare Technical and Non-Technical Waivers and recommend to Head of Coverage AMP and Head of Americas Portfolio Management.
·  Prepare, review and submit to OSD and Head of Coverage AMP all Watchlist and Provision recommendations. Transactions in WL3 or WL2 should be prepared in cooperation with DRAS.
·  Assist the Strategic Allocation and Optimization team to optimize the Americas Corporate and ASF portfolio in terms of risk and return in conjunction with the Head of Portfolio Management.
·  Participate in the identification and recommendation of transactions that may offer cross-selling opportunities.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

·  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
·  2-3+ years of relevant experience: Credit risk and Corporate Finance and Portfolio Management experience
·  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
·  Strong quantitative/analytic skills.
·  Ability to work independently and multi-task. Able to work collaboratively with internal partners.
·  Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) writes clearly and concisely, speaks effectively, provides well-thought-out solutions, communicates appropriate information.
·  Able to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines and the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment.
·  Able to analyze problems proactively to identify solutions prior to escalation.
