We are currently recruiting a processing Operative within our Operations department at our busy dairy in Hanworth to manufacture all milk/juice and cream fractions to meet the the daily production schedule supplying internal and external customers, and the cleaning of plant and equipment whilst adhering to Legal, Technical, Environmental and Safety Policies.
Your challenge
In this role the key responsibilities will include:
o Deliver the daily production schedule to achieve the planned outputs daily
o Undertake all tasks to produce milk,cream and juice production in adherence to technical standards via separation, pasteurization and CIP's as per the daily production schedule
o Complete full CIP's and environmental cleaning in line with Technical Standards
o Complete operational logs and records to meet site/business Technical standards
o Positively raise improvement plans with Business Unit Leader and CI Facilitator to further reduce site burden costs
o Adhere to butterfat targets for the department to increase cream yields
o Comply with Site Health & Safety Policy via adherence to procedures and safe systems of work
o Comply to the Site/Business Quality standards and legislation to ensure right firsts time products are produced to the correct specification
o Complete operational logs and records to meet site/business Technical standards
o Maintain good standards of housekeeping within the department in line with Technical standards
o Understand Site Waste Map to drive wastage improvements within the processing function
o Understand Utility Cost Impacts to drive maximum performance from the assets to reduce utility costs gas,water and electricity
o Undertake basic asset care activities, and support Engineering on fault finding excercises to remedy faults within the process
o Communicate effectively with other departments to fully utilise plant and equipment to maximum efficiency
o Conduct on line checks to ensure product meets specifications during all phases of the process
Key skills & experience
The Job Holder should ideally have knowledge or experience of:
• SCADA Systems
• Dairy Science
• Level 2 Food Hygiene
• COSHH Awareness
• Environmental Awareness
• Level 2 Health and Safety
• Microsoft Word, Excel and E mail
