Job description

Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator role supports the CSS Learning team. The member would coordinate with subject matter experts, instructional designers and others to implement eLearning requirements from a publishing and administration standpoint.  

The LMS Administrator is responsible for administration and strategic vision of the LMS, technical courseware requirements, reporting, user setup/registration, and coordinating front-line support.   The LMS Administrator will triage issues, provide resolution and reach out to requestors as needed to clarify requests, recognize gaps or inconsistencies, and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities of the LMS Administrator:

* Serve as the subject matter expert for LMS administration; responsible for direct oversight of the management of user migration, course upload, alpha and beta testing, user/member management, portal and/or reporting customizations, and related processes.

* Manage the LMS user experience.

* Coordinate the generation of ad hoc and recurring reports generated in the LMS.

* Coordinate with vendor and management staff to oversee enhancement efforts and system upgrades—including tracking system bugs/application issues and coordinating LMS upgrades and relevant improvements.

* Deploy and administer Performance Management processes, reporting, and user maintenance.

* Stay abreast of developments in the field of eLearning technology and serve as an internal consultant on best practices, new solutions, emerging trends.

* Perform regular LMS quality assurance checks to ensure proper system functionality, courseware deployment, testing/certifications, and data communication in the development environment and post-production environment.

* Collaborate with LMS and content providers to research and resolve issues related to the LMS that are reported by the end user, vendor(s) and/or administration issues related to the LMS.

* Manage enforce LMS content publication standards including, but not limited to, course nomenclature (character limits), process adherence, user permissions and role designation.

* Develop and maintain extensive catalog of learning programs.

* Manage LMS system communications (emails, Pop-ups, alerts, releases) promoting a member experience focus.

* Demonstrate a commitment to mastering skills related to data analysis and evaluation.

* Manage roles, securities, and permissions associated with LMS access; develop and maintain LMS Governance plan

* Gain a firm understanding of the organisation’s business goals for learning

Required Skills:

* Administration experience with any Cloud LMS; SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, SABA, etc.

* Demonstrated verbal and written communication including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms and document business processes to both non-technical and technical audiences.

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* 3 - 5 years’ experience administering learning management systems.

* 2 - 3 years’ experience providing internal-and external-facing customer support.

* Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.

* Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.

* The ability to tactfully negotiate multiple demands and thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
