Senior Account Manager

Your role:

The role of the Senior Account Manager for Global Strategic Accounts is to continually and consistently increase MilliporeSigma’s market share and revenue by identifying new business opportunities and driving collaboration with customers to solve their unique challenges. As a member of the Global Strategic Account team, you will sell a broad portfolio of technologies including cell culture media, chemicals, and development services to large multinational biopharmaceutical companies in New England. You will create value for both the customer and MilliporeSigma. You will strategically manage projects and resources to ensure long term profitable growth. You will increase MilliporeSigma’s market share, emphasize differentiation from MilliporeSigma’s competitors, and build upon MilliporeSigma’s reputation for excellence within the New England territory. This is a field-based role requiring travel within the New England territory (with occasional 10% overnight travel to CA) and occasionalinternational travel.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications :

·  3+ years of experience in the Life Science / biopharma industry
·  Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Engineering, Chemistry or related Life Science discipline

 

Preferred Qualifications :

·  2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotech drug production processes/unit operations
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills
·  Sharp commercial acumen
·  Possesses the ability to assesses a situation, the people and temperament, and uses that information to guide thinking and behavior
·  Perceives the impact and the implications of decisions on other components of the company as well as the impact on clients and suppliers
·  Utilizes effective negotiation skills; generates results with positive outcomes for both parties
·  Uses skillful questioning to draw out information for diagnosing a situation
·  Shapes opinions of key stakeholders
·  Understands the basics of pricing and can articulate the value or reasons behind pricing
·  Generates accurate business forecasts
·  Strong customer relationships
·  Candidates must demonstrate a natural affinity to influence and/or sell to all levels of an organization. Comfortable interacting with all areas of the customer, including Process Development, Clinical and Commercial Manufacturing.
·  Track record of building and maintaining credibility, trust, and strong relationships
·  Talented at active listening to the expressed needs and wants of others
