Junior Consultant

Job description

Mercer is looking to recruit a Junior Consulting Actuary to reinforce our Core team at the Brussels office. You will pro-actively support the more experienced actuaries and consultants in all aspects of Retirement and Investment Consulting work within our Wealth practice.

Your Responsibilities

· Actuarial valuations for both funding and accounting purposes
· Preparation of figures for financial statements
· Assistance in designing and implementing our clients' pension strategy
· Drafting of reports
· Day to day communication with clients
· Participation in client meetings

Desired profile

We are looking for a communicative and ambitious candidate who wants to grow his/her career in the actuarial field. You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a team.

·  Recognized actuarial qualification
·  0 to 2 years of work experience, preferably in a pension or insurance environment
·  Good presentation skills
·  Efficient, accurate and organized
·  Fluency in one of Belgium official languages a requirement; fluency in a second official language of Belgium and/or in English would be a plus.
·  Knowledgeable of MS Office tools
