JOB SUMMARY

The Supplier Quality Assurance Officer achieves and assures appropriate levels of Quality, Food Safety, and Legality for all raw materials and/ or packaging used by Royal Canin.

S/He drives continuous improvement with RC supplier portfolio in respect of the sustainability policy and supports the RC growth toward the health nutrition and individualization.

The function requires full commitment and achieve participation among the SQA community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Assure quality, food safety, and legality of raw material supplied to all manufacturing sites
·  Perform supplier risk assessments , site audits, and suppliers evaluation
·  Manage material related exception & nonconformance
·  Manage Mars Standard application through proper metrics and measures, consolidated and reported to key stakeholders
·  Anticipate/ Manage raw materials related issues and crisis effectively to minimize business impact.
·  Drive continuous improvement of quality & food safety  at supplier level in collaboration with RC stakeholder
·  Communicate to the buyer the  business opportunities identified through supplier contacts
·  Support the development and implementation of new raw materials in response to the Innovation Pipeline
·  Project leading among the SQA community or cross functionally

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or similar technical field is required
·  A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a technical area such as purchasing, quality assurance, laboratory or food engineering.
·  Need to satisfactorily completed an accredited Lead Auditor training course during the first year ( or actively progressing towards this certification if a SQA auditor) to enable IRCA/RABQSA/ or equivalent certification
·  Fluent in English and local language is a must, fluent in another language is good to have.
