Marketing Properties Counsel (m/f/d)

The successful Royal Canin Marketing Properties (RC-MP) Counsel will be responsible for supporting a MP Sr. Counsel – Royal Canin responsible for the collaborative development and execution of global business and marketing brand strategies and the coordination and oversight of the day-to-day overall work, including trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, renewals, enforcement, and related domain name, trade dress and online/social media activities.

Key Tasks:

·  RC-MP Counsel will be responsible with oversight from the MP Sr. Counsel – Royal Canin for supporting the day-to-day handling of trademark and copyright matters
·  Executes on global strategic brand development and growth of the ROYAL CANIN and EUKANUBA business
·  Developing solid relationships and credibility, including providing ongoing training
·  Provides support, handling as requested, to ensure execution of legal tasks supporting the global brand strategy, such as trademark clearance, prosecution, trademark oppositions and cancellations, copyright registration, intra-company licensing support, domain name portfolio management, customs registrations and maintenance.
·  Implementing and sustaining brand strategy that promote consistent use of the brands and are aligned with business needs

Your Profile:

·  A graduate of an accredited law school and professionally qualified lawyer with 3 to 6 years of experience
·  Experience with managing a global trademark portfolio, trade dress, packaging and advertising issues, domain name portfolio maintenance, global intra-company licensing programme, brand-related aspects of online presence
·  Strong Customer/client focused
·  Proven experience building strong and influential relationships
·  Ability to rapidly mobilize and manage teams
·  Excellent communication-, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
·  Managing workload priorities to ensure deadlines are met and responses provided in a timely manner
·  Fluent in English and good French language skills
