The Business Development Analyst supports the segment’s reinvention by moving the portfolio north into quality growth adjacencies, such as Better Treats & Snacks and Immersive Experiences, and by addressing opportunities in critical growth markets The Business Analyst supports the inorganic efforts toward this goal including M&A, partnerships, and alternative (equity-based) arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Collect data from across geographic markets and secondary sources (e.g., Nielsen, SPINs, CB Insights, Capital IQ, etc.) to determine market sizing and Mars Wrigley size of prize, and to assess potential targets
·  Commission discrete consumer diligence (e.g., social media scraping, qualitative research) in support of specific M&A engagements
·  Conduct industry-specific anti-trust analysis to understand the market dynamics at issue with M&A investigations
·  Prepare impactful presentations for Mars Inc. leadership and Board through multiple visualization techniques and tools such as ThinkCell, Excel, and Powerpoint
·  Provide analytical support and market research for alternative innovation model(s) should key acquisitions within each adjacency not be attainable or do not offer acceptable value

Job Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree; preferred with 2+ years in advanced analytics or management consulting experience
·  Data analysis including patterns and the critical variables to provide insights
·  Understanding of food & beverage and/or consumer package goods trends
·  Working knowledge of information systems
·  Strong oral/written communication skills
