Qualifications :

Job Summary

Assist all guests in gymnasium in a safe and healthy way. Complete yoga and fitness inductions and follow-ups on all members. Do yoga group and PT classes as per schedule. Promote and sell fitness membership, yoga and meditation class exercise, spa services including retail offerings related to the Spa and recreation.

Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service. Clean, check and maintain fitness areas, studio and all exercise areas at all time. Frequency checks fitness equipment at the end of each shift. Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, Spa Assistant Manager and Spa Manager.

Experience:

·  Minimum 2years of experience as a lifeguard

·  Motivational speaker providing encouragement to participants. Connect with students during the yoga classes through fun, intelligent sequencing.
·  Offer training recommendations to improve the practice of yoga.
·  Engage in administrative duties.
·  Knowledge of Fitness science, Human body, Anatomy and Physiology
·  Lead class through a series of asana, or poses, aimed at building strength, flexibility, and balance.
·  Additional knowledge or interest in Spa therapies, or fitness, or Lifeguard service, or admin job is preferred

Education or Certification

·  Qualified with personal training and first aid certificate
·  Qualified Yoga instructor in Yoga and Meditation class formats
·  To have worked in commercial or hotel club before
·  Group Training Skills

Essential Functions

· 
To ensure that you are always courteous and friendly to guests, attentive to their needs, handle problems in a professional manner and are conscious of the importance of safety.

· 
To be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all areas within the gymnasium i.e. floors, mirrors and equipment as laid down by the Spa Manager/Supervisor according to “Gymnasium Daily Operating Procedures”.

· 
To welcome prospective members in a professional and courteous manner, providing them with a full explanation of the gym's facilities, equipment, services and to promote and sell memberships.

· 
To provide Hotel guests and members with a personal yoga and fitness orientation (medical questionnaire, fitness assessment, program development) before they commence an exercise program.

· 
To design personal exercise programs for all users of the gymnasium according to factors evaluated during the personal fitness evaluation i.e. objectives, age, level of fitness etc.

· 
To provide Hotel guests and Club members with a personal yoga class program presentation and to provide full instruction on the correct techniques to be used during classes, paying particular attention to safety.

· 
To provide first aid treatment in the event of any accident or injury to a guest or Club member.

· 
To motivate and encourage Hotel guests and members to achieve a higher level of health and fitness whilst promoting classes as a fun activity.

· 
To liaise with the Spa Manager/Supervisor in setting up and running a time table of yoga and meditation classes, activities, events, training etc.

· 
Organize special events such as group classes, Morning-evening yoga, aqua yoga, fitness challenges etc.

· 
To file all personal fitness evaluation cards and personal exercise program.

· 
To keep daily record books and log all information such as accident reports, complaints, maintenance requirements and statistics i.e. peak/off peak times etc.

· 
To be responsible to work as a Receptionist according to the weekly shift Rota or depending upon demand as laid down by the Spa Manager/supervisor and to fulfill duties as per the “Reception Daily Operating Procedures”.

· 
To promote & sell nutritional products and maximizing revenue.

· 
To ensure that all rules & regulations of the club is adhered to by guests & members.

· 
Ensure fitness area and equipment is clean well maintained and all water coolers are filled at all times.

· 
Coordinate with Engineering in maintaining all equipment is in working order.

· 
To be responsible to carry out cleaning duties in any part of the Spa & Recreation area as requested by the Spa Manager.

· 
To attend all spa staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled by the Recreation Manager/supervisor.
