Job Summary
· Must possess a current QLD RSA Certificate
· Supervise all Food & Beverage associates on any particular shift, delegating tasks accordingly, ensuring that operational standards and procedures are followed and hotel policies are adhered to.
· Ensure food items offered in the outlets are of a consistent standard and provide feedback to the chefs in relation to sales, wastage and menu changes, or special functions / requests.
· Ensure correct cashiering procedures are adhered to according to hotel policy.
· Assist in the updating of the outlet's ‘Operational and Training' manual.
· Deal immediately with any guest issues, and be responsible for appropriate follow-up.
· Convey any guest issues / comments / complaints directly to the Department Manager.
· Check personally on guest satisfaction.
· Follow all SOP's and LSOP's pertaining to cash handling.
· Promote repeat business through personal contact with guests.
· Ensure sanitation and hygiene standards are met.
· Ensure all opening and closing duties and preparation is carried out.
· Follow the principles as outlined in the Marriott ‘Guarantee of Fair Treatment' policy and procedure, by dealing with any associate issues in a fair, timely and complete manner. Assist in the recruitment and selection process for potential new associates for the outlets.
· Develop and foster the skills of associates working within the outlets via training and performance reviews.
· Foster associate empowerment and facilitate associate involvement in the outlet's development.
· Ensure that associates adhere to the conditions as outlined within the ‘Associate Handbook'; that morale is high, and that correct ‘coaching & counselling' procedures relating to associate disciplinary action is followed.
· Attends training sessions and meetings as directed by Manager.
· Perform any other duties as requested by Senior Management
