Be part of the pre-opening team for the first Four Points by Sheraton hotel, part of Marriott International in New Zealand.

Set to open June 2018, Four Points by Sheraton Auckland will offer guests 255 modern guest rooms, with impressive views of the city, alongside an all-day dining restaurant, bar and lounge. Reflecting the brand's promise to provide what matters most to today's independent travellers, the hotel will also offer all of the brand's defining touches, including the signature Four Comfort bed, complimentary bottled water, fast and free Wi-Fi in all public areas, an energising breakfast and the brand's signature Best Brews™ program.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Take charge in effectively controlling all products that enter and exit the hotel by maintaining inventories, stock taking and distribution of items using variable monitoring and controlling systems.

Responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring goods are received in accordance with the quality and quantity stated in purchase orders.
·  Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots.
·  Ensuring goods are promptly delivered to operating departments.
·  Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
·  Monitor PAR levels for all Beverage and General items.
·  Accurately post all purchasing orders in hotel purchasing system on a daily basis.
·  Conduct month end stock take and investigate stock variances
·  Work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
·  Responsible for the cleanliness of the loading dock and store areas.
·  Eliminate and reduce workplace hazards in storeroom by following safe handling and storage policies and procedures.

ABOUT YOU




To be successful in this role, you ideally demonstrate the following:

·  Previous stores experience is essential
·  Experience in the areas of purchasing, stock control and stock take
·  Able to work in a fast-paced environment
·  Energetic and physically fit, able to lift and/or move heavy items on a daily basis
·  Flexible to work early mornings including weekends where required
·  Competent level of IT proficiency
