Ideal candidate profile



Qualifications :

Primarily responsible for proactively managing local and group catering customers and related opportunities for the hotel. Together with Event Managers, manages local / group catering customers from pre-arrival through event and post event interviews. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity whilst ensuring business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for premium service delivery. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Job Duties Including:

· 
Be an effective conduit between Sales, Event Managers and Operations.

· 
Participate in site visits with preparation in advance to be aware of potential and relevant touch points tailored to the customers' business potential.

· 
Be familiar and up to date with Conference and Banqueting business on the books, forecasts, budget and performance measurements.

· 
Meet and greet all function organizers as they arrive (meeting points), checking all their needs, provide welcome pack/information as appropriate internet code and review meeting times, room specifications and guarantees for all food functions

· 
Be flexible in working alongside the customer to amend / check the room set up and any other requirements of the customer has have & communicate any changes of event details to other departments immediately

· 
Ensure that all external and internal customers are treated in a friendly and effective manner at all times

· 
Check together with Events operations the meeting rooms prior to the clients arrival to ensure it is set up as per the clients instructions and to the Marriott standards

· 
To deal with all guest requests and concerns in accordance with ‘Spirit to Serve' and ‘Guest Response' procedures, thereby maximizing guest satisfaction whilst maintaining profitability

· 
Sets a positive example for guest relations

· 
Ensure that the refreshing and servicing of the meeting rooms is carried out to the Marriott standard and check on guest's progress during breaks

· 
Ensure all extras are signed for and all bills are raised and reviewed accurately on the day prior to guest leaving, organize post-con where applicable

· 
Ensure up- selling opportunities are maximised, with the guests consent

· 
Attends meetings with Sales/Events/Operations as required in order to be knowledgeable and familiar with short and long term business on the books and potentials.

· 
Drive ESS score by monitoring the ESS comments, analyzing the challenging areas, work with F&B team to create action plan, share & work with the team to improve the development area, attend ESS meeting and be an active participant

· 
Adheres to and reinforces all current standards, policies, and procedures (PPM, Core Deliverables, SOPs, LSOPs, etc.).

· 
Communicates and executes departmental and hotel emergency procedures and ensures staff are trained in safety procedures.
