Job Summary



The Manager, Cultural Enrichment supports the development of sustainment materials that promote luxury service as well the unique culture of each of Marriott's luxury brands. This position requires creativity and flexibility as it will work with a variety of subject matter experts and develop content for luxury brands. Writing expertise and knowledge of communication and design and development methods in the hospitality or service industry is critical to the success of this position.

This individual will develop on-going service and culture sustainment training that facilitates behavior change, transfers critical knowledge, and builds the unique culture of Marriott's luxury brands. Assists Sr. Manager, Cultural Enrichment in evaluating the effectiveness of communications and learning materials and ensuring training meets the business needs and objectives. The individual works closely with business leaders, numerous internal support teams, and vendors to ensure the successful development and integration of the communication and learning deliverables.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience in the subjects below and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

·  BS/BA degree is required. Advanced degree or additional certification a plus.
·  Minimum of 3 years of communications, planning and execution experience
·  Experience in designing, developing, and implementing high impact communication and learning solutions, using a variety of innovative approaches.
·  Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
·  Excellent written communication skills.
·  Program and project management skills.
·  Luxury Hospitality Industry expertise preferred.
·  Experience with writing on digital/video and social media channels preferred.
·  Strong experience and aptitude in various programs, including Microsoft Office software package, design software (DreamWeaver, SilverPop and InDesign), e-mail distribution, SharePoint and content management


Core Work Activities

Design & Development

·  Develop service and cuture sustainment content based on annual calendar for Marriott's luxury brands – topics/content based on business cycle activities, key priorities and brand initiatives
·  Manage timelines and write content for the service and culture materials for Marriott's luxury brands
·  Manage external vendors and/or other partners used to support the development of content, including reviewing their work and managing invoices
·  Approve and monitor service stories submitted via our internal databases (SharePoint and custom website)
·  Able to interact with subject matter experts across a variety of clients.
·  Clearly and concisely present ideas to clients on service and culture sustainment content.

Business/Functional Results

·  Design, develop and implement service and culture sustainment communications, training, programs and processes as they relate to Marriott's luxury brands to include modes that are high tech, high touch.
·  Explore alternative methods/mediums of providing communications and training to the field.
·  Manage time and resources to meet deadlines, budget goals and changing business and market needs.
·  Ensure communications and training is global and applicable across all audiences when applicable.
·  Solicit and incorporate feedback and assess evaluation feedback to make appropriate changes.

·  Manage multiple projects and processes on time and on budget.
·  Identify methods for measuring the effectiveness of communications and training.

·  Work along with business partners to ensure communications and training meets the needs of the individual stakeholders and audience members.

·  Utilize field experience to ensure communications and training meets the needs of the audiences represented and are effective in the learning and development of the participants.
·  Be proficient in all software programs necessary for the position: Microsoft Office software package, design software (DreamWeaver, SilverPop and InDesign
