Job Description

As an Atrium Hospitality Leader, you'll bring your warm smile, genuine excitement and a consider it done spirit to work. The ideal applicant will provide guidance and leadership as the Front Office Supervisor and ensure consistent quality of customer service is provided to all guests. He/She communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Sells and negotiates business and revenue for our property. Provide accurate group revenue and expense forecasts according to established guidelines. Communicate client specifications to appropriate operational departments and monitor implementation and execution of said expectations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent Atrium Hospitality Front Desk Supervisor with all the professionalism and positive outlook needed to be successful at our property.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
·  Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow; assign duties and examine work for preciseness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures; study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of Front Desk.
·  Manage front desk operations by completing a checklist of important daily tasks, determining room and rate availability and making decisions that are in the best interest of the hotel.
·  Perform at the Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager, constantly monitoring throughout the hotel and troubleshooting problems.
·  Ensures rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statement. Properly accounts for services provided by the hotel. Assists guests with check out payments or charges.
·  Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger; collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
·  Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
·  Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer.
·  Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
·  Keep records of room availability, rates, etc as well as track and bill no-show guests.
·  Understand and enforce hotel and company credit policies. Ensure proper routing and payment methods are applied.
·  Providing guidance and direction to Associates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
·  Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
·  All other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

·  HS Diploma or equivalent
·  Minimum 2 years experience in Front Desk, Reservations, and or one year experience in front desk operations and one year experience in direct sales or retail trade; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
·  Possess a valid drivers license.
·  Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use and operation of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
