Job Description


Position Summary: Establishes and maintains a smooth functioning beverage and food department in compliance with Standard Operation Procedures. Ensures a high level of sanitation and safety in all food areas. Strives for service of high quality food and achievement of budgeted goals. Looking for a creative and cultured individual that has extensive beverage experience.

·  Develop the annual budget for food and beverage operations.
·  Manage the daily operations, resolve operational issues and guest issues.
·  Ensure all brand standard training for the B&F team is completed within the required time frame as dictated by the Brand.
·  Regularly review service scores to identify areas needing improvement.
·  Oversee the purchasing and receiving of all food and beverage items.
·  Conduct food and beverage cost control inventories.
·  Investigate new and improved menus, food preparation and service methods.
·  Develop menu selection and format with the Executive Chef.
·  Coordinate with engineering to ensure preventative maintenance programs are in effect.
·  Coordinate with catering and banquet department to review Banquet Event Orders.
·  Responsible for accurate payroll of B&F department.
·  Ensure company policies are adhered to, relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing including timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
·  Ensure weekly schedules reflect business needs and are adjusted accordingly.
·  Ensure B&F team members are in proper uniform and adhere to the Company's grooming standard.
·  Hire, train, coach and discipline food and beverage team.
·  Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
·  Perform any additional tasks requested by management

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or high school diploma or GED plus 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge and ability.

Certification: Serve Safe Certificate

Experience: Two (2) years previous F&B management experience.

Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. May be required to work weekends.

·  Ability to read, write and speak English.
·  Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
