M&S Castle Donington is focused on delivering for our online customers, ensuring they receive the products they order at the right time and in the right place. It's Engineering's role to ensure the automation and kit, and there's a lot of it, is maintained to maximise efficiency & productivity to ensure the site succeeds on a daily basis.

This new opportunity as a Technical Maintenance Planner will put you at the heart of our strategy to refurbish our automation and ensure the smooth running of our site in the future. Specifically, you will oversee the large scale plan of automation refurbishment on a fully integrated multi supplier system at our Castle Donington distribution centre. This will include resource, spares, budget, safety and access to equipment and machines alongside coordination with planned maintenance. You will have an engineering background with an analytical mindset as you will be dealing with data including financial information and project plans.

We anticipate the role will be for an initial 12 month period, dependent upon progress made in the plan.


About the role
Your key accountabilities will be to:-

·  Develop and maintain the plan for automation refurbishment taking into consideration resource, budget, safety and available tools and spare parts
·  Provide reports and updates on plan to ensure it is on track and within budget
·  Utilise our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to extract information and data to support the refurbishment plan
·  Work with SMEs and operations to review the plan, establish priorities and alignment with promotional trading calendar
·  Integrate the refurbishment plan within the planned maintenance schedule

About you
To suceed in this role your skills and experience will ideally include:-

·  Proven experience within Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent work environment
·  Experience of different maintenance systems and processes eg RCM
·  Understanding of PUWER & machine regs
·  Proven working experience in scheduling, planning and coordination skills
·  Ability to deal with data and understand financial forecasting
·  Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite: in particular Excel, Projects and CMMS
·  Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.

Working knowledge within an automated process environment would also be advantageous.
