About the role:



This is a great opportunity to join M&S at an exciting time to use your design skills in Home and Beauty. You will work alongside the Designer & Design Lead, predominantly across print design, packaging and product design covering both Home and Beauty.

What you will be doing:

·  Work alongside the Designer to deliver the global product direction in Home and Beauty across new product opportunities and pattern trends.
·  Support the Designer with the co-ordination of day to day activities
·  Support the Designer in producing a high standard of print design direction·
·  Work with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time to meet critical paths
·  Support the Designer to deliver Design Briefs to FSVs when required
·  Research global retail and trends under the direction of the Designer and Identify and communicate key opportunities
·  Assist in creating design boards, design publications and design DPS presentations
·  Begin to take the initiative to own a product/product type/ print project under the Designers direction

What will you need for this role:

·  Previous design experience within the retail industry ideally within Home, Beauty and pattern.
·  Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail
·  Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace and product design
·  Experience in Direct Design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of CAD and Tech Packs via PLM
·  High level of proficiency in Design related CAD software to include Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design
·  Multi task orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the critical path
·  Strong communication and influencing skills
