Main Goal

Responsible for management of all issues for the assigned product portfolio as related to seed portfolio economics, PLC management, Seed supply, crop production and security inventory, global crop strategies and product testing, marketing and quality assurance.

Job description

Manage the life-cycle of products included in the assigned global product portfolio. Develop turnover and margin results on seed sales activity. Provide direction to research and breeding by defining product characteristics and market requirements for mid and long term goals.

Essentials duties and responsibilities:
- Participates and leads the crop strategic vision – SCR (Strategic Crop Reviews) tool – provides clarity to management on the crops – business environment, improve market presence, reach & penetration
- Marketing mix – focus on margin optimization, minimizing portfolio risk, product pricing & positioning
- Optimize turnover and margin of managed products through supply chain expectations, sales potential evaluation and product pricing guidance.
- Collaborate & manage new products, new product concepts and product development with the Breeder, Product Development and sales.
- Cross functional collaboration with seed supply to ensure smooth supply and availability of the products
- Participate in production planning pre-release meetings. Manage safety stock level for his crops.
- Promote species communication within the company (internal documents, sales conventions, open field days etc.)

Profile

Minimum Bachelor degree in Agronomy / Agri. Sciences / Horticulture or Agricultural Engineering / Science required. MBA/PGDM – Marketing / Agribusiness Management would be added advantage
Master's in Business Management (MBA) / Marketing Management / with non-agri graduate study can apply, provided you have work experience in agri / seed industry
Minimum of 4-8 years' experience in marketing, product management, breeding, seed development, seed sales, or vegetable production. (similar experience in other related industry can apply too)

The post can be located either in Thailand or in Vietnam.
