Job description

Mission:
Bring the Finance expertise in Minkels Switzerland to new levels. Establish and constantly exercise strong Internal Controls.
Organization structure:
The junior controller acts as an interface between the unit and country management team, with a direct reporting line to the country CFO.
Tasks – Financial Analysis / Reporting
* Plays a major role in financial reporting: annual budget construction, quarterly forecast, monthly book closing, etc.
* Regular sales analysis, e.g. breakdown by category, customer, month, etc.
* Profitability analysis of product lines, customers, etc.
* Gross margin drivers to analyse evolution vs. budget and prior year
* Material cost analysis within a manufacturing context
* Perform budget control on a monthly basis
* Present analytical findings to management and propose plans to improve performance
* Manage monthly closing process and financial reporting towards Group
* Raise local management team’s awareness of financial concepts through trainings
Tasks – Internal Controls
* Lead the annual internal control self-assessment within the entity
* Lead the implementation of decided action plans to improve the company general control environment based in latest audit report
* Act as steward on compliance matters and raise awareness among staff on internal control aspects through trainings
* Document internal processes and introduce new internal control requirements where needed
* Perform regular random testing to ensure procedures are followed
Skills / Experience:
* Graduate (Bachelor or Master) with internships in the relevant field
* German (priority 1) and English (priority 2), French (default: mother tongue)
* Good communicator who can explain performance with regard to business context and defined strategy
* Strong personality striving to challenge and improve the status quo.
