Description

The HR Seasonal Generalist at Mast Global is responsible for supporting HR initiatives/issues, has the ability to make recommendations and implement associate programs to drive engagement and the skills to manage corrective action to improve associate performance. The HR Generalist will assist with administration of policies and programs covering the talent lifecycle, HR best practice delivery and associate relations, to include:

HR Administration/Processes

• Acting point person for assigned client group supporting HR related questions and concerns – assist associates with navigating the organization for information and provide guidance on the `self-service’ tools made available.
• Implement special projects/events and company-wide HR initiatives
• Help facilitate changing contingent labor needs in partnership with HR partners
• Educate associates on company policies and procedures
• Partner with client group on proper administration of progressive discipline
• Support HR processes across Mast Global ‘move’ organization including flow to work initiatives, associate conversions, leave management coordination, etc.
• Other duties and projects as required supporting the overall needs of the business
Talent Development
• Coordinate and educate associates and leaders on Performance Management process
• Support the development of talent; helping them to shape their Individual Development
• Plans, create clearer career pathways
• Support succession planning activities and retention needs
• Facilitate coaching conversations on performance and associate relationship issues as needed
• Support the recruitment process: open requisitions and screen potential candidates
• Support new hires and subsequent onboarding processes
• Support initiatives that help to define, develop and sustain a culture that enables top talent to feel engaged, contribute, and do their best work
• Support the annual Associate Opinion Survey and action planning process
• Assist with associate engagement/recognition projects and programs Support and help facilitate culture champions within assigned client group

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field/equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years HR experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organization.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Flexible and creative problem solver.
• Acute sense of urgency.
• Customer service philosophy.
• Proactive team player.
• Creates credibility by consistently delivering on commitments.
• Maintains confidentiality of information at all times.
