Position Summary:

This position is responsible for key aspects of P&L management and reporting. It provides exposure to the full P&L with a focus and attention to detail through Gross Margin. A key portion of the role involves preparing various financial schedules for Actuals, Budgets and Trends to support the SalonCentric commercial controller. In doing so, the Sr. Analyst will work across various financial systems (Magnitude, Compass and SAP). In addition, they will interface directly with the channel heads, marketing and PPD local finance to clearly articulate results and build Budgets/Trends. Base responsibilities include execution and ownership of the monthly close process including GTN sales management/reporting, identifying risks and opportunities through Gross Margin in the P&L while building Budgets and Trends in Compass. They will also be responsible for providing adhoc analysis and financial modeling to drive key decision making to help support the future growth of SalonCentric.

 

Position Responsibilities:

·  Own the monthly close and actual reporting process through the utilization of core financial platforms (Compass, Magnitude & SAP)
·  Build Budgets and Trends through collaboration with PPD local commercial finance team and SalonCentric commercial controller
·  Analyze monthly business results vs plan and develop robust commentary on variances
·  Present monthly net sales reporting and other P&L indicators to SalonCentric leadership, while identifying and making recommendations for areas of improvement (i.e. Customer Allowance analysis, Promo ROI, Product Margin analysis, etc.)
·  Coordinate/ issue daily, weekly, monthly Sales FLASH reporting
·  Prepare various monthly reporting documents for SalonCentric Finance Book
·  Provide detailed analysis and financial modeling to support SalonCentric leadership in decision making around key brand initiatives to drive sales and improve overall profitability

 

Job Requirements:

·  1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting
·  Bachelor’s degree
·  Proficient/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
·  Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and communication skills
·  Strong business partnering skills
·  Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
·  Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
·  Must be able to travel to the New York office periodically (~20-30% of the time)
