Job description



We have an opportunity for an Apprenticeship within the Customer Care department, within the Professional Products Division (PPD) Customer Service Team in Bury. This position will involve on the job training whilst also working towards a Level 2 Contact Centre Operations qualification with training provided through North Lancs Training Group.

The successful jobholder will be efficient, professional and highly motivated, ready to act as a key point of contact for a demanding customer base, which ranges from small neighbourhood salons to major hairdressing chains and exclusive portfolio salons.

Role and Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will be able to deliver excellent customer care to a wide variety of customers and be able to demonstrate effective and efficient handling of disputes and queries. You will be professional at all times and be an Ambassador of the PPD Customer Care Team when dealing with both internal and external customers. Your organizational skills, attention to detail and your ability to priorities will be critical in our fast moving environment of constant change. You will demonstrate a flexible and persistent approach to problem solving; self-motivated and confident, you are a real team player who thrives on the challenge of achieving group results.

Your key job accountabilities:

·  Taking high numbers of inbound calls
·  Be a trusted key point of contact for our customers, combining a professional service with passion for and knowledge of our products.
·  To liaise with Commercial Team members to advise them of any potential issues regarding order processing / delivery / payment queries.
·  Be part of a highly motivated team delivering an excellent standard of customer service

Qualifications and Education Requirements

5 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent) required.

Preferred Skills

·  An ability to deal with a high level of internal and external telephone calls in a professional manner
·  To work accurately and quickly under time pressure, with the ability to build relationships with customers
·  The ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form
·  The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, and plan and organize own daily workload to meet daily deadlines
·  The ability to resolve problems or where appropriate direct issues for consideration to the appropriate level

·  The ability to analyse information
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel 

Personal Qualities

·        Good communication skills – both written and verbal

·        Good IT skills – mainly Excel and email

·        Must be able to work quickly & accurately

·        Able to record information accurately

Future Prospects

Dependent on role availability and apprentice performance, you may to progress to full time employment at one of our L'Oreal sites.
