Purpose of the Job (Summary)

This role offers the opportunity to develop Urban Decay sourcing activities of Packaging and Contract Manufacturing items, under the supervision of the Americas VP of Packaging Sourcing and the Urban Decay VP of Operations.

Lead sourcing activities related to Urban Decay in collaboration with the GM of Urban Decay DMI Brand Strategy & Product Development and the GM of Urban Decay DMI Business Development.

Continually improve supplier performance in collaboration with the Open Manufacturing organization.

Execute and improve sourcing processes, in order to maximise Urban Decay’s results, improving bottom line growth and Total Cost of Ownership.

Support the Business stakeholders in their decision making, with close involvement of Marketing and Operations (including Development, Supply and Manufacturing organizations).

Manage a team of one buyer and one analyst in Newport Beach, CA.

Key job accountabilities

·  Manage a team tasked with managing price and supplier master data, developing and executing cost reduction projects for a luxury brand, on packaging and contract manufacturing scope.

§ Improve profitability by:

·  Establishing cost bench marking, including with the “Should Be Cost” approach
·  Identifying and proposing cost reduction initiatives
·  Implementing cost reduction projects
·  Developing & implementing Packaging Development service agreements with Packaging suppliers with the goal of separating conception and production costs

§ Protect the Brand by:

o Monitoring and ensuring on-time implementation of social, safety and quality audits.

o Implementing Business Contingency Plans

o Negotiating Master Agreements

§ Support and drive simplification processes through the consolidation of packaging SKUs and optimization of contract-manufacturer SKUS.

§ Work closely with Americas Sourcing resources to develop and execute lowest Total Cost of Ownership plans.

§ Builds strong cross-functional relationships with our internal and external clients to understand and respond to their business needs and priorities.

§ Performs other related duties as required.

Who we are looking for:

Requirements:

§ Bachelors degree a must

§ 9 -12 years in sourcing roles in the Consumer goods industry

§ 3 years in a management role

§ Demonstrated experience in sourcing packaging materials.

§ Experience in Contract negotiation & compliance.

§ High Level of engagement, Self-Driven individual with strong communication skills and ability to influence in a matrix organization

§ Ability to travel to the East coast

§ High degree of financial and analytical skills

§ Exceptional computer Skills including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint

§ Legally eligible to work in the US on an ongoing and permanent basis without sponsorship.
