KPMG is currently seeking a Proposal Editor, Federal Proposal Operations to join our Management Consulting organization.

Responsibilities:

·  Edit all levels of federal proposals, from substantive editing and rewrite to copyediting clarity, sentence structure, and grammar
·  Support Federal Proposal Operations (FPO) Proposal Managers in providing editorial guidance for subject matter professionals regarding solicitation requirements and proposal themes
·  Review proposal drafts to ensure sections reflect RFP requirements, are well written and well structured, and communicate win strategies and win themes
·  Help position proposals to align with the client objectives and goals via messaging and tone
·  Support proposal production through preparation, editing and final binding of proposals
·  Perform other proposal support tasks to ensure quality and compliance, including meeting arrangement

Qualifications:

·  Minimum of two years of editing experience, with at least three years editing Federal Government proposals, preferably within a professional services firm
·  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
·  Able to edit quickly and efficiently for quick pass-through edits as well deep, substantive edits and to ensure that the final proposal is in one, unified voice
·  Strong command of punctuation, syntax, grammar, and style, and aptitude for improving organization, flow, readability, completeness, and clarity of documents
·  Understand all essential aspects of the Federal Government procurement process; Proven flexibility to handle changing priorities and managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, while working in a team environment and working with cross-functional teams
·  US citizenship is required
