Position Summary

KPMG Montréal is looking for a Consultant specializing in one of the following industries to join their SR&ED Tax group.
·  Chemical
·  Mechanical
·  Physics
Various businesses conduct SR&ED activities to develop (or modify) their products or processes to reduce their costs, improve their performance, or to create new markets. To qualify for SR&ED tax credits, these activities must meet certain eligibility criteria. The successful candidate will assist our clients in identifying eligible SR&ED activities. The candidate will benefit from exposure to science or technology leaders and state-of-the-art innovations at companies in several industries.

Role and Responsibilities
·  Research activities for SR&ED clients;
·  Identify the starting point for projects, innovations, and technological challenges;
·  Describe the project in a report that is consistent with SR&ED guidelines;
·  Develop and maintain an overview of specific scientific or technology areas.
At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job.This work requires travel in Canada and the United States to serve our clients' locations. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

Skills & Qualifications
·  University degree (Engineering or other related scientific disciplines).
·  Minimum of 2 years of professional industry experience.
·  Experience and knowledge of CRA SR&ED program is an asset.
·  Perfectly Bilingual, written an oral communication (English and French).
·  Technical writing skills and ability to develop a concise technical report in a timely fashion, in French and English.
·  Excellent communication skills.
·  Excellent analytical skills and articulate discipline for thorough working methods in a multidisciplinary team.
·  Ability to be creative in expressing technological and scientific concepts as well as synthesize information.
·  Ability to prioritize tasks for multiple clients to consistently achieve delivery milestones.
·  Ability to work in a team and a desire for career development through continuous learning.
The successful candidate will be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team who will provide coaching to develop knowledge and skills to progress within the company.
