KPMG's Information Technology (IT) Advisory Practice in Montreal focuses on IT enabling strategies and solutions that drive greater business performance. We provide organizations the insights and capabilities they need to balance the introduction of new, innovative solutions, disrupting their business model, while continuing to maintain ongoing operations in line with cost and quality expectations. As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in the IT Advisory Practice, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, equipped with deep industry knowledge, and use your superior analytical skills to help organizations run a more efficient business in addition to deriving greater value from IT. You will help our clients address complex marketplace dynamics, leverage opportunities for growth, explore evolving technologies, and adapt to shifts.
As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in the Management Consulting practice within IT Advisory, you will:
• Understand client issues, develop hypotheses, conduct primary and secondary research and analysis, and develop valuable recommendations;
• Rapidly become knowledgeable on the business concepts and issues which drive the client's needs;
• Analyze client data in order to advise clients on insights and business opportunities based on evidence;
• Work collaboratively with client teams and help develop client capabilities; and
• Contribute to all aspects of building a Management Consulting practice (e.g. business development, culture, community engagement, etc.)
General Skills and Qualifications:
Top candidates will possess an outstanding academic record and should be pursuing (or have obtained) an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or related field. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of excellence and achievement, demonstrated personal and professional growth or advancement, and well-rounded involvement in academic, professional, and personal pursuits.
Experience in a professional services firm supporting clients is an asset including project management and/or process improvement experience with demonstrated research, analysis, and report writing skills.
The following general skills and qualifications are required:
• Consultants are expected to have 1-3 years of work experience
• Senior Consultants are expected to have 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant setting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to clearly and articulately identify and define problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements
• Data analysis experience
• Demonstrated research, analysis and report writing skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven relationship development and project management skills
• Ability to work independently once provided with direction
• An affinity for teamwork and relationship-building
• A recognized University Degree in a related discipline, with a strong academic record
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated industry experience in supporting IT initiatives using the following technologies:
• Workday
• SAP (e.g. ECC, BW, HANA)
• Oracle (e.g. EBS, Fusion, PeopleSoft)
