KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join ourTrade and Customs practice.

Responsibilities:

·  Prepare duty drawback entries for electronic submission to CBP including preparing import and exports, calculating various entered values and data review and manipulation
·  Support clients in maintain overall compliance with CBP duty drawback regulations
·  Prepare duty drawback forms necessary for filing of claims
·  Coordinate with Global Trade Management (GTM) system implementation teams on data reporting to facilitate duty drawback filings
·  Undertake activities to proactively enhance savings through expansion of clients' duty drawback programs
·  Communicate on technical duty drawback matters

Qualifications:

·  A minimum of three years of duty drawback experience as a customs attorney, customs broker, industry trade specialist, US Customs drawback auditor, or import specialist, which includes duty drawback experience and may include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods
·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and/or a Certified Public Accountant, Juris Doctor or person with a Master's degree in international trade
·  Previous experience in a tax or advisory services firm, corporation, customs broker, government, or trade law firm
·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including Access) and top duty drawback preparation software
·  Strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication/presentation skills
·  Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
