Trainee for our Advisory department - Contract until December 2018 (m/f)

The role and responsibilities

You will be working within the Advisory Department in our Aberdeen Project Team.
You will have frequent interaction with our internal tax department who will support you with their technical knowledge and external interaction with Asset Managers, Custodians, Banks, and Investment funds on withholding tax reclaims matters.

Our mission is to help our clients with their withholding tax reclaims in order to ensure that they pay their taxes in the most efficient way and benefit from any tax advantages and exemptions.
You will therefore coordinate the filing and reporting of several tax reclaims on behalf of investment funds domiciled in different EU countries by:

•Creating and maintaining process documentation.
•Producing legal and custodian documents.
•Gathering all necessary documents from asset managers, national financial authorities, and banks in compliance with foreign tax office requirements.
•Ensuring efficient communication with external and internal stakeholders to meet the legal deadlines.
•Doing the follow-up with clients and KPMG network on the filling of tax reclaims and additional requests from tax authorities.

The perfect candidate

•You are studying towards (or already hold) a Bachelor or Master's degree in Taxation, Finance, Law or a similar field.
•You are able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
•You are fluent in English.
