Poste et missions:
As Signalling RAM and Safety Engineer, your main technical responsibility will be to successfully define RAMS requirements related to ETCS / IL technical environment, so that these can be implemented and integrated into the various project phases. We expect from you a strong expertise in RAMS analysis and engineering, in order to support the RAMS management team, the engineering safety management, with the aim to obtain the risk assessment and independent safety assessment (ISA) related to mobility projects :
- Undertake the RAMS activities for different systems in ETCS / IL projects in accordance with the Client’s Requirements
- Carry out the various RAM activities like System Breakdown Structure, Functional Analysis and Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Produce the corresponding reports
- Carry out the RAM Demonstration of the systems and produce RAM Demonstration Report
- Carry out the hazard identification, various hazard analysis techniques like PHA, HAZOP, SH A, SSHA, IHA, O&SHA, and Risk assessments
Produce the corresponding reports
- Manage the Hazard Log
- Carry out the SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessment
- Develop the Safety Case in accordance with the related norms
- Coordinate with the design team in implementing the identified RAMS requirements
Along with your technical skills, we expect from you to ensure a regular and seamless communication and support the interfaces between the RAMS, the Project, the Technical and the Program Management teams, as well as with the miscellaneous key-players on the project. This includes :
Reporting and controlling :
- Plan and control on quality, time & cost basis the project execution of the ETCS / IL relevant work packages
- Analyse and supervise the fulfilment of the requirements with regard to functional, technical and time-related goals
- Early recognise deviations in his/her work packages early, identify problems and solve them (in coordination with the RAMS and the technical project management, when necessary)
- Report the outputs of the activities and controls to the RAMS, the Project and the Program Management teams
Interface, partner and risk management :
- Ensure and manage the interoperability of the system
- Manage the RAMS requirements in coordination with the Interfaces, the Integration and the Testing & Commissioning activities
- Involve and interface timely the R&D, the internal and external subsystem partners
- In case of shortcomings escalate problems regarding quality, deadline shifts and
collaboration within the given timeline
Improvements :
- Drive ideas and activities as part of the project related tasks with the aim to improve the project results
- Use any possibility to improve the products and systems, as well as the system standardisation and system related processes
Profil:
You hold a Master degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics engineering or related.
You are fluent in Dutch, English and French languages. Knowledge of German language is a plus.
You are passionate about the railways sector and safety issues.
You are autonomous, have an analytical mind, some good communication and time management skills and develop a natural team spirit, as well as a practical sense of priorities.
Your experience :
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in RAMS Engineering for safety critical railway / automotive systems
- You already worked in an international environment
- You already worked and lived experience abroad (e.g. within the scope of several
business trips)
Your qualifications :
- RAMS Engineering methods, tools and techniques
- Good working knowledge on FMECAs, RAM Modeling, Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, Safety Case
- Wide knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics systems and ability to understand the schematics and technical documentation
- Railways signalling
- ETCS level 1 / level 2 knowledge is a plus
- Interface management and coordination
- Sub-systems Engineering
- Process Rules and Standards (CENELEC, European Norms, ...)
- Requirements Engineering, Quality Management, Configuration management, Documentation management
- System documentation, interface management and system integration
- Experience in Engineering, Installation, Integration, Testing and Commissioning
Your computer skills :
- Expertise in Tools (MS-Office, AutoCAD, SAP, technical specific engineering tools, ...)
- Extensive experience dealing with engineering teams, customers and suppliers
