Poste et missions:
As Rail Automation Project Manager, your main responsibility will be to successfully lead ETCS / IL projects, including technical, quality, scheduling and financial aspects. We expect from you a strong expertise in Project Management, and more specifically some technical knowledges about ETCS / IL sub-system, in order to review the global system architecture (implementation of ETCS / IL products, engineering phase, interfaces management between sub-systems or systems related to mobility projects). Your scope of work also comprises the following tasks :
- Coordinate the whole project team
- Produce the overall Project Plan
- Review of the generic schedules, the proposed budget, the Key Performance Indicators
- Follow the project from the engineering phase to the final commissioning and reach the milestones on due time
- Ensure the technical and commercial coordination with the client and the miscellaneous partners
- Gathering the adequate profiles and competences for the good achievements of the project
- Control and report the progress of the overall project and the possible sub-projects to the Program Management Team, as well as to the client
- Keep motivation of the whole team in order to succeed in reaching the initial targets
Along with your management skills, we expect from you to ensure a regular and seamless communication and support the interfaces between the Project Team, the Technical and the Program Management teams, as well as with the miscellaneous key-players on the project. This includes :
Reporting and controlling :
- Plan and control on quality, time & cost basis the project execution of the ETCS / IL relevant work packages
- Analyse and supervise the fulfilment of the plans with regard to functional, technical and time-related goals
- Early recognise deviations in his/her work packages early, identify problems and solve them (in coordination with the technical project management, when necessary)
- Report the outputs of the controls to the Program Management team and the client
Interface, partner and risk management :
- Ensure and manage the interoperability of the system
- Manage the Interfaces, the Integration and the Testing & Commissioning
- Involve and interface timely the R&D, the internal and external subsystem partners
- In case of shortcomings escalate problems regarding quality, deadline shifts and
collaboration within the given timeline
Improvements :
- Drive ideas and activities as part of the project related tasks with the aim to improve the project results
- Use any possibility to improve the products and systems, as well as the system standardisation and system related processes
Profil:
You hold a Master degree in Electrical / Electronics engineering or related.
You are fluent in Dutch, English and French languages. Knowledge of German language is a plus.
You are passionate about the railways sector and about Project Management methodologies.
You are autonomous, have an analytical mind, some good communication and time management skills and develop a natural team spirit, as well as a practical sense of priorities.
Your experience :
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in Project Management, ideally in similar technical background (railways, automation)
- You already worked in an international environment
- You already worked and lived experience abroad (e.g. within the scope of several
business trips)
Your qualifications :
- Project Management methodologies
- Electrical / Electronics background
- Railways signalling and ETCS level 1 / level 2 knowledge is a plus
- Interface management and coordination
- Sub-systems Engineering
- Process Rules and Standards (CENELEC, European Norms, ...)
- Requirements Engineering, Quality Management, Configuration management, Documentation management
- System documentation, interface management and system integration
- Experience in Engineering, Installation, Integration, Testing and Commissioning
Your computer skills :
- Expertise in Tools (MS-Office, AutoCAD, SAP, technical specific engineering tools, ...)
- Extensive experience dealing with engineering teams, customers and suppliers
