Regional Key Account Manager

The Regional Key Account Manager is responsible for leading the branch/district key account activities (retention and development).

Responsibilities

-Responsible for the district/branch Key Account portfolio, across and in alignment with all BU and vertical strategies
-Coordination of district / local involvement customer retention and development
-Support the development of the assigned customer portfolio with the help of industry solution centers and in alignment with BUs, local/ district/national strategy
-Key account portfolio management and target alignments with district/local head of sales as well as national sales
-Key account plan reviews and evolve portfolio and services ( MBR/QBR )
-Direct involvement in significant local/district sales / retention cycles
-Drives the RFQ response for assigned portfolio customer(s), either as the lead, or ensures district/local support is assigned to drive offered business opportunity
-Development and selling of (value) solutions in coordination with the Customer Solution Centers and by national sales teams
-Recommends pricing and negotiation strategies for solutions and products
-Coaches, monitors and mentors in all aspects of client services including, account management, product knowledge, and consultative selling techniques
-Support of local/district portfolio development via marketing activities
-Actively show customer excellence and role model behavior
-Collaborative sales activities with business units and field sales team members
-Monthly review meeting with sales management on portfolio development

Key Accountabilities:

·  Leading the branch/district key account activities (retention and development)
·  Driving RFQ responses for nominated portfolio cross divisional for all business units
·  Acting as a single point of contact for all business units of the KN Group
·  Maintain and evolve key customer and drive customer excellence
·  Monitor and grow customer portfolio (existing and new) in alignment with Branch Sales Managers
·  Management of special accounts by management

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics or a related field preferred;
• 3+ years' experience in freight forwarding / logistics / transportation industry required;
• 3+ years experience with both sales Account Management and Business Development functions;
• Must be self-motivated with a professional approach;
• Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
