This is a unique and challenging opportunity to join one of the world's leading Logistics companies. Due to continued success in the region, we are looking for IT Systems Executive to contribute to one of our key projects in the UAE. Job description

The IT Systems Executive for Contract Logistics is a critical role and in principle responsible for the Contract Logistics Information Systems ( INFOLOG , YMS, BO reports, iAuditor, TMS, etc.) used. The job role encompasses operational and first-level support (including data extracts and interfaces control), user trainings on WMS and new technologies implemented (Voice Picking, Heat Mapping etc.), set-up of new products, suppliers, customers, further developments and enhancements, release coordination, tender support and interaction with the national CL Information Systems Team and other relevant counterparts. This role is a developing role, and as skills grow, the IT Systems Executive shall be able to learn and develop more him/herself.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Supports Logistics-Process design and mappings such as implementation of new or changed process requirements or new technical equipment
·  Monitors, analyses and performs required changes on the WMS regarding everyday product set up and configurations
·  Analyses daily the activities' volumes and performs the optimal allocation of goods to picking locations
·  Executes everyday customer requests regarding stock adjustments and blocking of products as a support to the inventory manager
·  Error analysis, recovery, and troubleshooting in coordination with national team/ or other relevant counterparts
·  Performs set up of new PCs, printers, user profiles, email accounts and any other technology implemented on site and provides troubleshooting when required
·  Liaises with national IT team in case of network downtime or server malfunction
·  Audits to ensure the users are properly and effectively operating the system
·  Performs and audits everyday important facility elements such as WIFI access points, CCTV checks, chamber temperature checks, functioning of RF guns and Voice Devices, Tablets, mobile workstations, label inventory etc.
·  Software and release testing in coordination with WMS Helpdesk (Generix)
·  Interface Testing with Customer's Back Office Support Team
·  Development of SOP's for WMS
·  Configures and tests the WMS for standard local implementations
·  Coordinates and executes Customer requirements regarding WMS & Operational processes
·  Documentation of WMS solution and development of user manuals
·  Perpetual training of users
·  Reviews operational processes to ensure SOPs take into account new features part of software releases
·  Observes and secures the adherence to the quality standards and working procedures
·  Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel's Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures

Your skills and experience

·  The ideal candidate has a college degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or Logistics
·  Prior experience of at least 2 years in a similar role is mandatory
·  Prior experience in Contract Logistics would be a plus
·  Advanced skills in MS office tools, SQL, and programming
·  Experience in the delivery of change and continuous improvement programmes
·  Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken) is essential for this role
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with problem-solving skills are a necessity
