Cloud Solutions Engineer

You are an experienced software engineer and you know how to solve challenging questions by bringing public cloud infrastructure and software architectures together. Be a part of an IT team, which actively participates in the digital transformation of Kuehne + Nagel using public cloud services.

Your Role

As a public cloud solutions engineer you will contribute to pioneering digital products. You are driven by the success of our business, customers and partners. You like to share your knowledge with colleagues and appreciate the diversity of all the projects you work on. Your analytical approach, ability to learn quickly and innovative mindset will be key indicators of success. As a strong supporter of public cloud services, your work will be focused on helping internal teams leverage cloud services to achieve their goals, from within the structure of our CCoE.

Your Responsibilities

·  Collaborate with product teams designing cloud native architectures for new or existing products;
·  Coach teams on their cloud journey with your expertise in public cloud services;
·  Act as an internal “Customer Success” agent, assuring the quality, cost effectiveness and timely delivery of projects that adopt public cloud models; 
·  Prepare conceptual prototypes over public cloud services that better explain and demonstrate their benefits;
·  Document best practices and or processes that contribute to more autonomy and faster delivery cycles;
·  Prepare and deliver internal presentations and training to improve cloud readiness of internal teams;
·  Work with public cloud operation teams to adapt the service offer to requirements.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Demonstrated experience of 3+ years with AWS, across infrastructure and software domains. Certifications and/or experience with other CSPs are highly valued;
·  Knowledge of Java and Python, including corresponding AWS SDKs;
·  Practical experience with containers, relational and noSQL databases;
·  Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure as Code frameworks, such as Cloudformation and/or Terraform;
·  Proficiency with Linux and networking topics is required;
·  Deep understanding of AWS IAM is expected, and you should be well versed in a broad range of topics in the security domain;
·  Able to learn quickly with the capability to solve complex problems whilst working on own initiative. Your experience and learning capabilities will be evaluated through technical assessment;
·  Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
