Business Development Manager - Airfreight (Hong Kong, Kwai Chung)

Job description

·  This role is an Outside Dedicated Sales position with focus on a core Business Unit where 80% will be either focused on Air Freight or Sea Freight as per contract with the remaining 20% for cross-selling for small and medium sized accounts.
·  To deliver agreed portfolio targets through the development of existing and new customers to ensure achievements of volume and gross profit targets.
·  To conduct selling activities in accordance with national sales management guidelines.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Be primary point of contact for the customer, selling KN services across business units (Airfreight) with a specific focus on the assigned business unit
·  Closely cooperate with operations to develop and apply specialized knowledge relative to the assigned business unit and trade lane (where applicable) and liaise on pricing preparation
·  Gain new business with existing and new customers
·  Focus on customer retention engagement on assigned account portfolio
·  Prepare and conduct customer visits, calls, presentations, negotiations and contracts
·  Input and timely update sales activities utilizing internal system
·  Ensure proper transitioning of customer to operations in line with customer requirements and internal procedures
·  Complete all required sales activities (calls, visits, leads, opportunities)

Your skills and experience

·  University Degree in Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent
·  3 years' sales experience in Airfreight for third party logistics, freight forwarding, shipping lines or transportation service providers. Experience in international environment is an advantage
·  Solid knowledge of air areas in Europe/ Intra-Asia / Transpacific markets
·  Strong communicator and presenter with excellent English, Cantonese or Mandarin
·  Team player, pro-active, aggressive and result oriented
