This position is embedded into the Technical Services within K&N Military & Government - Bicester

YOUR ROLE

Assist in the maintenance records of all Inspections and maintenance programmes to the weapons, Instruments and ancillaries and assisting in ensuring adequate supplies of spares and expense items to enable the role to be carried out.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Ensure individual production targets are met. Ensure all job related paperwork is completed within 24 hours
·  Ensure the supervisor is made aware of spares requirements. At all times comply with Technical Services Health & Safety policy as defined by the appropriate Processes and Health and Safety Data folder for the Zone area being worked in, ensuring that safe systems of work are adhered to and a safe working environment maintained.
·  Ensure documentation and working practices within my work zone comply with business quality procedures, requirements and standards
·  Multiskilling across Technical Services work zones as business need dictates. Carry out cleaning and identifying of specialist components
·  To be able to account for and secure all Weapons, Instrument and Ancillaries spare parts, Knowledge of workshop practices, and to be able to work on your own and as part of a team.
·  Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to be able to complete jobs effectively.
·  Responsible for ensuring that time frames are met.
·  Work to be planned for priority items on a daily basis overall section work to be planned on a weekly basis

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

·  Applications for this specialist post are welcomed from candidates who are qualified as an artisan military Armourer to at least class 2 or have an equivalent qualification from the small arms industry or other related Engineering background, although training can be provided.
·  Current experience in all in-service pattern Small Arms, Machine Guns and Support Weapons and associated Instruments and Ancillaries would be desirable but not essential.
·  Would be expected to attend training courses that fit to this roll.
