The knowledge obtained by the intern through immersing themselves into the day to day activities of the company will be invaluable experience as the intern advances their career.

Your Role

Each internship will present a unique opportunity for the intern to learn the field of Supply Chain/Logistics with hands-on work experience.

Your Responsibilities

- Provide pricing and rate information for commodities. This is similar to a rate desk function.
- Ensure that the sales force and others have adequate access to price/rate information. This covers ensuring consistency of data and approach.
- Stay informed of market conditions and communicate these conditions and future expectations to KN US so they are best prepared to deal and communicate with customers and make informed price decisions.
- Contribute to collaborative export trade discussions. Topics covered will include carrier strategy, pricing policy, individual carrier and customer deals and general topics.
- Support all export trades with reports and analysis
- Work with carriers to ensure that all contracts are up to date, clean and cover all cargo that they are assigned to cover.
- Distribute contracts and rate agreements to all users in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure lines of communication between KN and carriers are open and active at all times.

Your Skills and Experiences

-Proficient with MS Office, Excel, and have the ability to quickly learn other company specific programs.
-Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
