Responsibilities


The primary responsibilities of the Master Production Scheduler are to ensure continuity of supply to meet the customer service goals (UFR) for the assigned portfolio, deliver upon and optimize inventory investments, and to deliver a feasible, weekly-bucketed master production schedule (MPS plan) meeting the net requirements in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Site Materials Planning.

·  Supporting supply network planning by leading a wide range of endeavors including, but not limited to, inventory management, sales and operations planning, short and long-term capacity planning, and identifying/implementing process improvements.
·  Responsible for delivering Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) for 24-month horizon on a monthly basis following the S&OP cadence.
·  Manages the planning and preparation of the MPS plan which balances the site capacity plans, MPS parameters, raw material availability, inventory targets, and the constrained MPS plan.
·  Identifying/leading strategic initiatives to improve portfolio reliability and ensure continued customer service improvement
·  Serving as the primary point of contact for any supply disruptions of the business unit, including developing business impact scenario's and supply projections to communicate to management
·  Leading a portfolio of products, including products with high levels of promotional volumes, balancing network requirements across both internal and external manufacturing sites, supporting all customer channels, and/or a high degree of demand seasonality.
·  Understanding multiple portfolios and the nuances of those corresponding supply chains to drive further process improvements.
·  Supporting or leading special projects related to product launches, line extensions, campaign strategies and various supply chain initiatives
·  Supporting, contributing, or leading the development and implementation of SAP based planning processes, and will be accountable for demonstrated use of SAP supply network planning to improve department efficiency.
·  Accountable for demonstrated use and understanding of the SAP capacity planning functionality.
·  Interacting regularly with cross-functional partners including External Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, Franchise Integration, Demand Planning, Trade Customization, Regional Transportation Organization, & Supply Planning
·  Leading the cross-functional Internal S&OP meeting and promoting process adherence in accordance with the S&OP process standards.
·  Providing operational inputs to the Business Planning Process and participating in the development of Annual Business Plans.

Desired profile

Qualifications

·  A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably focused in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
·  An MBA is preferred
·  A minimum of 6 years experience in operations or related field (Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Project Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Customer Support, Contract Management, Materials Management, Manufacturing) is required.
·  A minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning is preferred
·  A minimum of 1 year of SAP/APO planning experience is preferred.
·  Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills.
·  Prior experience with interdependent partnering and team management.
·  Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and within a matrix environment.
·  The ability to manage difficult issues and implement positive change is required.
·  Negotiation skills and the ability to influence without authority are required.
·  The ability to effectively manage projects and timelines to meet schedules is required.
·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications is required.
·  Strong SAP/ERP experience is preferred.
·  Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or certification is preferred
·  Experience working with applicable cross-functional business partners is a preferred
·  APICS Certification is preferred
·  Up to 10 % travel is required for this role
